Intel Core i9-14900K – Custom Delid
At the centre of the system is Intel's Core i9-14900K, one of the flagship processors of Intel's 14th-generation desktop family.
It combines 24 CPU cores and 32 threads, using eight high-performance P-cores alongside sixteen E-cores. The processor can reach a maximum turbo frequency of 6.0GHz, providing exceptionally strong single-thread capability alongside the multi-core resources required for streaming, editing, rendering and heavy multitasking. Intel specifies 36MB of Smart Cache and a maximum turbo power of 253W.
This particular processor has undergone a custom delid modification. Delidding is an enthusiast hardware modification in which the processor's factory heat-spreader assembly is altered to optimise the thermal path between the CPU silicon and cooling system. It is particularly relevant to high-power enthusiast processors where thermal management can affect sustained operating behaviour.
The delid is a custom modification to this particular PC rather than an Intel factory specification.
ASUS ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB Liquid Cooling
Cooling is handled by the ASUS ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB, providing a 240mm liquid-cooling system matched to the compact Tower 300 configuration.
Its visual centrepiece is ASUS' AniMe Matrix LED display integrated into the pump housing, allowing the cooler to display animations and system-themed graphics while complementing the ROG aesthetic.
Internally, ASUS uses an 8th-generation Asetek pump, a copper CPU cold plate and a 240mm aluminium radiator. Two 120mm ROG ARGB radiator fans provide up to 70.07 CFM of airflow per fan according to ASUS.
For the customer, this means the cooling system is not merely functional: it becomes one of the major visual elements of the build.
ASUS ROG Strix Z790-I Gaming WiFi
The compact design is built around the ASUS ROG Strix Z790-I Gaming WiFi, a premium Mini-ITX motherboard using Intel's Z790 chipset.
Leveraging measuring only 17 × 17cm, it provides a high-end platform with:
- DDR5 memory support
- PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics expansion
- Two M.2 SSD slots
- Wi-Fi 6E
- Bluetooth 5.3
- Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connectivity
- ROG Strix Hive external control/audio interface
- ASUS Aura Sync lighting support
ASUS officially supports 14th-generation Intel Core processors and DDR5 speeds including 5800MT/s on this motherboard.
It provides the connectivity expected from a full enthusiast desktop while maintaining the compact motherboard footprint required by this distinctive build.
32GB Samsung DDR5 5800MT/s CL48
The system contains 32GB of Samsung DDR5 memory operating at 5800MT/s with CL48 latency.
For gaming, streaming and general creation workloads, 32GB provides a strong balance between capacity and responsiveness. It allows modern games to run alongside background applications, browsers, communication software and streaming tools without making memory capacity an immediate concern.
The installed speed is also natively accommodated by the motherboard's available DDR5 operating modes.
Dual NVMe Storage – Micron 1TB + SK hynix 512GB
Storage is split across two OEM NVMe drives:
- 1TB Micron NVMe PCIe Gen3
- 512GB SK hynix NVMe PCIe Gen3
Together they provide approximately 1.5TB of solid-state storage, allowing the operating environment, frequently used applications and game library to be distributed across two physical SSDs.
The use of two independent NVMe drives are intended and recommended for separating the operating system from games, projects or working files.
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB OC
Graphics performance comes from the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X Edition, a premium implementation of NVIDIA's RTX 4080 SUPER.
ASUS specifies:
- 10,240 CUDA cores
- 16GB GDDR6X memory
- 256-bit memory interface
- 23Gbps memory speed
- Up to 2550MHz boost clock
- PCI Express 4.0
- 2 × HDMI 2.1a
- 3 × DisplayPort 1.4a
- Maximum digital resolution of 7680 × 4320
- Support for up to four displays
ASUS recommends an 850W PSU for the card; this system substantially exceeds that recommendation with its installed 1200W CORSAIR unit.
For the end user, this is the component that makes the Tower 300 particularly suitable for premium 1440p and 4K gaming, high visual settings, GPU-assisted content creation and demanding graphical workloads.
CORSAIR HX1200 1200W Platinum Power Supply
A system of this class requires a serious power-delivery foundation, supplied here by the CORSAIR HX1200.
It offers:
- 1200W continuous output
- 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency
- Fully modular cabling
- 135mm fluid-dynamic-bearing fan
- Zero RPM fan mode
- Japanese 105°C capacitors
- Over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit, over-temperature and over-power protection
- 100,000-hour MTBF
- ATX12V 2.4 / EPS 2.92 compatibility
CORSAIR specifically positions the HX Series for high-performance PCs where stable power delivery and reliability are important.
The generous 1200W capacity gives this configuration substantial headroom relative to ASUS' 850W PSU recommendation for the graphics card.
Thermaltake The Tower 300
The Thermaltake The Tower 300 gives this computer its defining character.
Rather than using a conventional horizontal component layout, Thermaltake designed the Tower 300 around a vertical octagonal-prism format with three 3mm tempered-glass panels. The result is a panoramic presentation that places the hardware on display from several viewing angles.
It supports both Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX motherboards while retaining room for very substantial enthusiast hardware. Thermaltake officially supports graphics cards up to 400mm with the power cover removed and AIO radiators up to 420mm on the right side.
The chassis includes two 140mm CT140 top exhaust fans from the factory and supports as many as eight 120mm or 140mm fans, giving the unusual vertical design significant cooling flexibility.

Key Benefits
Flagship-Level Intel Processing
The 24-core Core i9-14900K gives the computer the processing capacity required for gaming, streaming and demanding productivity without forcing the user to choose one workload at a time.
Excellent 4K Gaming Foundation
The RTX 4080 SUPER combines 10,240 CUDA cores with 16GB of GDDR6X graphics memory, making this a particularly strong system for demanding high-resolution gaming and GPU-accelerated workloads.
Custom Enthusiast CPU Preparation
The custom-delidded processor distinguishes this system from an off-the-shelf pre-built and reflects its enthusiast-oriented construction.
Premium ROG Ecosystem
The graphics card, motherboard and liquid cooler all come from ASUS' ROG family, creating a cohesive performance and design theme.
Compact Footprint Without Entry-Level Hardware
The Mini-ITX motherboard and vertical Tower 300 layout allow unusually powerful components to be presented in a comparatively compact footprint without reducing the system to entry-level hardware.
Showcase Design
Three tempered-glass panels and the vertical octagonal form make the hardware highly visible from multiple angles, creating a computer designed to be displayed rather than hidden.
Excellent Connectivity
Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 2.5Gb Ethernet, Thunderbolt 4 and high-speed USB provide extensive connectivity despite the motherboard's compact size.
Substantial Power Reserve
The 1200W Platinum-rated HX1200 provides considerably more capacity than ASUS' 850W recommendation for the RTX 4080 SUPER, while also offering fully modular cabling and Zero RPM operation.
